Amanda L. Betley…

Born and raised in the North of England, Amanda spent the first few years of her existence reading as many stories as she could get her hands on. When not reading, she put up with being thrown around on the ocean with her dad, a competent sailor who instilled a sense of adventure in her that wouldn’t quite go away, so she travelled and ended up in Australia.

Amanda wrote her first manuscript at the age of eight, then there was a brief interlude in her life that included Teaching Music, Magazine Editing, Book Editing, Social Media Marketing, Website Design and Content Creation. A rather enjoyable detour, then she realised it was time to get back to writing.

She occasionally gets lost in a story and no one sees her for weeks. She has written several short stories, two novels and is working on the third.

No time to write...

As an artist I became aware of how tough it can be out there to showcase your work. Not only does the artist have to 'BE' an artist they also have to'BE' a business. Learning the skills required to 'sell a book' takes quite a bit of time away from just getting on with writing the book.  I decided I wanted to help artists navigate this field quicker and get back to doing what they love. So with that in mind I’ll be putting together a resource directory of things that helped me achieve success along the way. There are many paths to success and I hope that my shared story and the collection of things I learnt can help you navigate that path a little easier. Oh and if you get in touch and I like your work, I'll showcase you in the Artists Section. No fees, just a helping hand.
